Today’s Challenge: Hot Chocolate, Dessert
Its windy and chilly here in New Mexico. Brrrrr. In my opinion, the best way to warm up after walking around all day is to have a nice steamy cup of hot chocolate. Mexican hot chocolate that is.
Unlike regular hot chocolate, Mexican hot chocolate has an extra ingredient: cinnamon. The cinnamon really helps to bring out the chocolate flavor which makes the hot chocolate that much better. (:
The base: I usually make hot chocolate with water. If you are looking for a creamier hot chocolate, I recommend using milk (:
- 1.5 cups water, hot (or other liquid)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 packet of sweetener
- 1 drop of vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon sugar
- cinnamon & whipped cream to top
1) Boil your choice of liquid, once it is ready add all ingredients to the liquid and then blend together using a spoon.
2) Top with your favorite hot chocolate toppings.
