Okay, for those of you who tried the fritter recipe, I have figured out how to make them even better. I know right, how is that even possible? Well it is. If you want the fritters to be super crisp around the edges then look no further, I’ve found the solution. Ladies and gents, set your oven to broil and turn up the heat!
Okay, first step, follow the original fritter recipe which can be found here, or you can try my newer fritters (the mushroom, spinach and zucchini ones) by clicking here. Its best if you cook the fritters so they are brown in color like the picture below, this will ensure that you will get a great crust when they come out of the oven (:
Next step: Place your cooked fritters on a lined cookie sheet and cook for 10 minutes in the oven on broil. If you have the option to pick a broiling temperature, I recommend setting the oven to 400F. After they cook, let them sit and cool, or eat right away…its your choice, I’m not responsible for a 3rd degree tongue burn though!
